The Live the Future program is the flagship project of the Metropolitan Foundation. First created by using robust actuarial models and many years of data and research, Metropolitan set about to define a set of scenarios detailing the impact of HIV AIDS and the resulting possible futures of South Africa in 2025. Under the Metropolitan Foundation, this program has developed into a comprehensive response, complete with publicly-available tools in order to combat what most people understand to be one of the largest threats to South Africa's healthy future.

These scenarios are created so that we can understand where we are likely to be in 15 years time, if we undertake or fail to undertake certain actions; both on an individual and civic level, as well as on a corporate and public policy level.

Above all, the Live the Future program is designed to inspire action and response to the disease, through its various communication tools and comprehensive intervention plans. It is specially created not to be source of static information, but rather a pragmatic approach filled with practical help and support for anyone seeking it.
